WHY DO WE BLESS GOD?
Baruch actually means: ACKNOWLEDGE, Atah means: YOU. So when we say Barukah Atah Hashem in our prayers, we are actually saying: I acknowledge You, HaShem.
Barukh actually means: ACKNOWLEDGE, Atah means: YOU. So when we say Barukah Atah Hashem in our prayer, we are actually saying: I acknowledge You, HaShem.
That is why, when we say those three words in prayer while we are standing, when we say Barukh, our knees are bent, when we say Atah, we bend our bodies forward. But when we say Hashem, we have to stand up straight.
In contrast to other beliefs in this world, where when they mention the name of their god, they at least bow, some even fall down, as a sign of respect, that is their reason.
Baruch actually means: ACKNOWLEDGE, Atah means: YOU. So when we say Batapi Judaism teaches differently, because: when we say Baruch Atah, we are recognizing Him, we concentrate that He must be acknowledged, no one else. So what happens is that Hashem himself fills our lives. After saying Atah, it can be said that Hashem is already within us, so when we say the name of Hashem, we must stand upright, because Hashem is already within us, and Hashem is the Creator, the King of kings, so Hashem does not bow to anyone. So we say it with an upright body. rukah Atah Hashem in our prayer, we are actually saying: I acknowledge You, HaShem.
